What to Write About Now
I have been thinking that with the election over I may need to look in other directions for topics but today while working on my community magazine, Bull Shoals Beacon, (just a little plug there) and some other general googling I typed in this phrase letter to the president elect Obama site. There are pages and pages and . . . more of open letters to President Elect Obama including those from folks who continue to insist he bought, stole, did not really win the election.
I also found Change.gov and the Inaugral committee site. I think I will continue to have topics for quite a while.
I do want to say how wonderful it feels to have such warm wishes for the USA from around the world

- Hi Onedia The votings over now, but if I could have voted I would have voted for Obama he does seem genuine and having a black president will be good. I will watch with interest.My fear is another JFK repeat, I hope not.

- That is on a lot of minds and I know the Service will be very attentive. I once (in my young days) had a few dates with a guy on the presidential protection cadre. These folks are so dedicated to their president that it is absolutely astonishing. Also, the ability to protect has increased so much since then. I am also in hopes that this presidency will change some viewpoints.

I’m sure that you’ll find something else to write about, maybe nothing nearly as exciting as the presidential campaign, but I’m sure that you’ll find something.
Six days after and I’m still pumped up. Changes are here and more are coming. I feel better about my country than I have in some time, though I always have pride in America.
